Chris-Steele Perkins

Christopher Horace Steele-Perkins (28 July 1947 – 8 September 2025) Born in Yangon, Myanmar in 1947 to a Burmese mother and English father, Steele-Perkins moved to the UK with his family at the age of two. He was a British photographer and member of Magnum Photos, best known for his depictions of Africa, Afghanistan, England, Northern Ireland, and Japan. Chris-Steele was in Sarajevo covering the sige for Magnum. He died in Japan on 8 September 2025, at the age of 78.
